Twenty-four cups spread across six diameters: the Essential 24 lets you cover the whole back in a single pass, or work several areas one after another.

It adds twelve insertable magnets to the Essential formula; they slide inside the cups to bring a magnetic sensation to the pull of the suction.

The illustrated manual and the ebook are the same as across the range: the method does not change, only the scale of the session.

In 2019, a trip to China and a meeting with Jess introduce Benoît to a Chinese practice she had known all her childhood — Chinese cupping. Back in France, they realise this gesture also belongs to our own tradition, almost forgotten. Uplife was born from this twofold realisation: to make accessible a ritual that crosses the ages.

How-to

The ritual, in four steps.

Fifteen minutes per session. Once learned, the gesture becomes intuitive.

Prepare

Work on clean skin. A drop of vegetable oil if you want to glide the cup.

Choose

The size suited to the area, and the curved shape for shoulders or lower back.

Suction

Connect the pump to the valve, pump 1 to 3 times depending on the area and your tolerance.

Let it work

5 to 15 minutes depending on the area. To remove, gently pull the valve.

What exactly does the Essential 24 contain?

The kit includes 24 polyester cups (six diameters, four of each, four of them with curved rims in Ø53 and Ø42 mm), an ergonomic suction pump, twelve insertable magnets, an extension tube and an illustrated multilingual manual, presented in a storage box. The gua sha is not included: it comes with the Atelier and Signature ranges.

What are the magnets for?

The twelve magnets slot inside the cups to add a magnetic sensation to the suction on the most heavily used areas. It is an optional extra: use them on a few cups, or take them out for a session without.

How does it differ from the Atelier and Signature ranges?

The method and the manual are identical across the range. What changes: the material of the cups (polyester, reinforced polyester, then polycarbonate), the accessories included (magnets, gua sha) and the case (box, carry bag, bamboo case).

How many times a week can I use the cups?

2 to 3 sessions a week is a good rhythm. You can also practise occasionally, as you need. Leave at least 48 hours between sessions on the same area, to give the skin and capillaries time to recover.

Are there any contraindications?

Yes, there are — in particular around pregnancy, blood clotting, anticoagulant treatment and the condition of the skin. They are set out on our Precautions page, to read before your first session. If in doubt, or with a chronic condition, speak to your doctor before use.

Are the marks on the skin normal?

Yes, round pink or purplish marks can appear after a session. They are painless and usually fade within 3 to 7 days, much like a passing bruise. They correspond to a local rush of blood caused by the suction of the cup.
